Our Commercial Team is led by Andrew Peters who has more than 20 years as a legal and commercial adviser to the energy sector.Andrew has over 30 years of experience in professional services and energy. He has worked across various sectors including electricity generation, transmission, distribution, regulation, renewable and transmission project development, fuel supply (coal and gas), commercial transactions, decarbonisation, and energy transition. His expertise includes some of the largest and most challenging energy projects and assets in the country, such as major power stations, large-scale renewable developments, nation-building transmission projects, and complex compliance issues. He has been involved in firming deals, asset sales and purchases, and connecting power systems to the National Electricity Market. Most recently, Andrew worked on the development and investment proposal for CopperString, a 1000 km transmission project to extend the National Electricity Market and led the planning for integrating the existing isolated power system with the NEM. Andrew is a Non-Executive Director of an ASX-listed energy business (LGI).
